Night Audit

The night audit is a procedure that is done daily in all hotel and lodging industries. It is a daily report that gives a financial overview of the company that allows a manager to evaluate how well the business is doing. The night audit report will show all of the transactions for the day in all departments. The report includes a breakdown of how many rooms we sold and at what rates as well as how outside departments, such as food and beverage, have done for that day. All aspects of revenue are involved in this report to show exactly what the total numbers look like on a 24 hour basis (Bardi, 2007)
