After reading the case study the problems at Deloitte & Touche initially occurred because the employees were not happy. In their research to find out why employees were not happy they found three main reasons.

The first reason Deloitte & Touche found was "a work environment that limited opportunity for advancement"; the second and third reasons were "exclusion from mentoring and networking as well as work and family issues." (p. 45) (para 2). That said employees must be happy with their work environment in order to keep them interested in working for that particular company.
