Health care career diagram and summary

My health care career diagram and summary will focus on the psychologist working in an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.

Psychologists are Doctors with a Ph.D. in Psychology. They are distinguished by

their specialty and can provide services in several specialty areas: research, developmental,

clinical, and neuropsychological, to name a few. According to Shi and Singh (2012), "They are

trained in interpreting and changing the behavior of people. Psychologists cannot prescribe

drugs; however, they provide a wide range of services to patients with neurotic and behavioral

problems." (p. 447). They focus on emotions and thought processes.
