Roles and Functions of Health Care Managers

The role and/or function of a health care manager may vary based on what type of a facility one works in. For example, a manager that works in a long term care facility may oversee several areas of the facility with the help from other departmental managers. Managers that work in the hospital may oversee one or more departments ("emergency room, fast track and step down unit.")
