For many years, I have led the safety team for Blockbuster distribution center in McKinney, Texas, and during my work there we have accomplished a major goal-of one million work hours without a lost-time injury on two different occasions. Reaching this goal was no small task. It required diligent research, careful planning, dedicated teamwork, strong management and successful communication to establish and implement the strategies that would result in a safe workplace.
