Week 5: Discussion Question #1 Choose one age-related gastrointestinal disease. How would you describe the disease, and why is this age group more likely to be affected by the disease? One of the numerous age-related gastrointestinal diseases is Hepatocarcinoma, cancer of the liver. Although men that are 60 years of age and over are most prone to such a disease, the same is still generally a rare but deadly kind of cancer. It worsens as a person infected with it gets older. It is probable that in said age Hepatocarcinoma strikes is because men develop certain health problems starting 60 years old or even earlier.
