"Between stimulus and response, man has the freedom to choose" (Frankl, 2002). Personal responsibility is recognizing that I have the freedom and control to choose my actions and accept the consequences that come from these actions. These actions can be as simple as determining what my attitude will be for the day all the way to choosing to have a great, motivating, and inspirational life.
