Freedom of Religion Freedom of expression is a right protected the United States constitution under the religion clauses in the first amendment. Establishment clause stipulates that a state should not make a law regarding the establishment of a specified national religion (Durham, Ferrari, Cianitto, and Thayer, 2016). Every American citizen is entitled to equality about religious-based matters (Brown, 2014). Free exercise clause stipulates that the Congress must not formulate any law preventing the free exercise of the religious activities whatsoever.
