Prime members have a lot of benefits and therefore they spend a lot more money with Amazon then non-Prime members (Yarow,2014). In 2012 Amazon sold over 26.5 million items across all categories and all over the world (Cheredar,2014). Their e-reader books also did very well with Kindle Direct Publishing authors selling over 250,000 copies of their individual books in 2012 (Cheredar,2014).
