Define the following terms and identify their roles in finance

Note: While all of these terms can be applied to individuals, the focus is on business.

Finance Finance is the way businesses finance an activity. It is how they supply the capital for purchasing new items,

refurbishing old items or repairs. Finance is different from other activities such as sales. Finance is

financial institutions, and investment firms, business finance, or corporate finance. (Mayo,2007), (Keown,

Martin, Petty, & Scott,2005).

Primary market Primary market is where the new securities are sold by the company. This would be the issuance of securities
