Week 4 Journal Name ESE 691: Behavioral Management in the Classroom Instructor Date

   I am a parent with a child that has ADHD & I always wanted him to be in classrooms with his friends & not be in a more restrictive environment. I struggled with my son all through elementary & middle school with his disorder & I fought many battles with the school system with this issue. I never had an IEP for him because I didnt want to use that as a crutch for him & his teachers. I did work with the teachers & volunteered in the classroom to help to create successful plans for my son each year. My son had more distractibility & impulsiveness & with these he needed some interventions to keep him on task.
