Teachers are expected to be able to keep their students under control while still fostering their development and growth. Teachers are expected to arrange and organize their classrooms in a manner that makes the day productive. They are expected to know how to include diverse learners and include multiple instructional strategies to motivate the students. Teachers need to create an environment that encourages students to participate in social activities as well as instructional activities. They need to play a leadership role while encouraging positive behavior and managing negative behaviors. All of these things are part of classroom management (Manning & Bucher, 2013). Understanding classroom management, proper classroom management planning, developing personal philosophy for classroom management, including diversity, and knowing classroom management models are all valuable skills that make teachers more successful.
