While the status of the economy has been on the rise for a good time now, many businesses are still seeing the effects that the Great Recession had. One of these is seen through the consolidation currently being instituted by the United States Postal Service. The USPS has struggled since the recession and is facing the decision of having to consolidate many of their mail centers. Several have already closed which places a strain on local small business owners. It is likely that this will continue to happen and only further hurt the small economy.
