Week 1 Journal ECE 313 Collaboration with Parents & Community Twenty years ago, I was 13 years old, and we didnt have half the things kids have today. In society today, parents are teaching their children to be more independent, then they did when I was growing up. We have children who are ready to be independent and those children who are not. Children in society today, I believe are technology taught. I say this because parents are becoming lazy when it comes to teaching their children, and they depend on technology to teach them. Technology wasnt a big deal back then, then it is today. I see it every day with my students. I have a class where 3 and 4-year-old know how to use the tablet better then I can. For young children to be independent I think its up to the parents, but...
