They are similar due to the fact they both discuss struggles in life. A Noiseless Patient Spider states, It launched filament, filament, filament, out of itself, Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them (lines 4-5) Till the bridge you need be formed, till the ductile anchor hold, till the gossamer thread you fling catch somewhere (line 10-12). These lines are explaining the spiders struggle of trying to lay down the first line.
