For decades, researchers and law officials have tried to answer the question of what causes juveniles to commit crimes and in recent years they have tried to come up with interventions to help rehabilitate the juvenile. Throughout the United States, we have turned our focus of juvenile delinquency on rehabilitation. Through extensive research we know that with most juvenile cases there are underlying issues as to why the juvenile is committing crimes and this has led to the development of many strategies and intervention programs to help stop juvenile delinquency.
