While Missouri is only spending 50,000 per juvenile per year. Due to the program they have, there juveniles that go to adult prison is only 10% which is much lower compared to other states. Other states spend funding on building juvenile detention center, providing security guards and equipment. Missouri uses the funding they get by surrounding the juveniles with caring adults that provide the youths with the knowledge they need to get back on the right track. The adults also provided the youths with the support they need to re-enter society as an upstanding member.
