I was recently put into a situation that was not only extremely hurtful but it ended a very close relationship that I had with a best friend. My story begins in September of 2012, I remember it as if it were yesterday, the best phone call of my boyfriends life he had been accepted into the Los Angeles Sheriff Department academy, he was to finally become the man that he had always dreamed of being. It was a glorious moment in his life that was to be shared with everyone he loved and well, me. In my mind I knew what this meant, I was going to have to sacrifice my own feelings to be there to support someone that I love because I knew that it was going to make our future so great. I was excited and I was ready to take on the challenge of making it to the graduation day, knowing that after this ended I would possibly spend the rest of my life with this man. I was ready.
