Baderman Island Resort is an island resort located on the Kelsey River. In 1988 work begins to turn the Baderman estate into a resort with hotels, golf course, and convention center and gardens. In 2001 the Kelsey River was redirected for river management. This resulted in 1580 acres of the property to be totally surrounded by the river thus creating an island. In 2004 the resort open its doors for the first time. In addition to the previously mentioned facilities the Baderman Island resort also has a spa, pro shop and various restaurants.
