There are many issues law enforcement face every day. These issues are corruption, stress on-the-job, terrorism, and illegal immigration. Stress a common issue amongst officers because they deal with dangerous situations every day and are required to handle a range of different and challenging tasks as a matter of routine. (Terry & Grant, 2008, ). Police officers is a tough and threatening job. "Officers occupy a unique position in relation to the public they exist to serve and protect, the police are required to maintain high standards and are frequently subjected to intense scrutiny and criticism from the media and public at large."
