The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) is a program designed by the FBI in 1929. The program is a data-gathering system for reported crimes in the United States. The International Association of Chiefs of Police initiated the program with the goal of developing a set of statistics of uniform crime, to be used by policymakers and police.
