In the beginning, the first computers used those floppy discs, which moved to harder discs, but either way not much information was able to be stored and the computer itself had extremely small amounts for storing anything in memory. It was amazing and it is amazing now how computers have changed and keep changing at a rapid pace. According to the authors, Rainer, Prince, Cegielski, Chircu, & Marabelli (2014), "In fact, these trends are so rapid that they make it difficult to know when to purchase (or upgrade) hardware (p. 439}."
