Jill Bolte Taylors story of her stroke and remarkable recovery blew my mind. Im absolutely amazed that she was able to survive through the impact of her stroke. The stroke stripped away all mental functioning, including the understanding and speaking of language, and the command of her body. Taylors discussion was fascinating because we dont typically think about the brain and realize how important it is for our every day functions. I was amazed by Taylors knowledge of the human brain and felt like she was walking us through the brain like a map.
