A1. Potential Ethical Dilemmas This scenario presents Jamilah Shah. She is a 90-year-old female that went to Emergency room after she collapsed near her bed. She is originally from Turkey and speaks little English. Test ran in the hospital shows, she was told she suffered a heart attack and was admitted. Her treatment plan needs to be made immediately because time is critical. She does not have a living will or any advance directives on file. Listed as her emergency contact is her youngest son. They have different opinion as to what should be done. Jamilah stated to the social worker that she wants to live. Her son Bashir does not want any medical intervention from the healthcare team.
