C304 Task 1 The nursing theory that has influenced my values and goals is the theory of dignity in dying pioneered by Florence Wald.

1. In current nursing practice hospice and palliative care are just as important to nursing as other focuses of nursing. We are aware this is a very difficult part of the life cycle not only for the patient but also for their family and we strive to make it as stress free as possible. End of life care is taught in nursing curriculum and we have developed plans and organizations whose focus is on making the last transition in the life cycle less traumatic for all involved
