A1. Response to Scenario As a nurse caring for Mr. Newcomb, I would be conflicted as to how to answer his request. Even though Mr. Newcomb, and not his wife, is my patient and my primary obligation is to him, I wouldn't be able to help feeling empathy for Mrs. Newcomb.
