The object of Orems theory is to restore the clients self-care capability to enable him or her to sustain structural reliability, performance, and growth through purposeful nursing intervention (Cherry and Jacob, 2017, ). This theory is something that I try and live by every day of my career. It is so important as a nurse to put yourself first.
