C228 Task 2 International Outbreak (B) Description of Chosen International The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is a rare and deadly disease first discovered in 1976 near the Ebola river in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ebola virus has had several outbreaks, infecting people primarily in African countries over the years since its discovery. I will be addressing the Western African epidemic, the largest epidemic of the Ebola virus outbreak in history, that started in March 2014 and lasted until June 2016. (CDC Ebola Virus Disease, 2018).
