Ebola Virus The disease that I will discuss is the Ebola virus. The Ebola virus was experienced in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria, Mali, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Norway, Senegal, Spain, and Germany. The first outbreak occurred in December 2013 in Guinea. The virus was reported to have spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone in March 2014. In April 2014 in Mali there were six suspected cases of Ebola that later turned out not to be caused by the Ebola virus. On July 25, 2014 Nigeria reported its first fatality caused by the Ebola virus. The United States reported that an American missionary aid worker was treated for Ebola in Atlanta, Ga on August 2, 2014.
