A1. Purpose and Overview Change is the one constant in life, presenting and implementing change can be a challenge. When it is necessary, it is a challenge that should be met as change promotes better practices and results in better patient outcomes. The purpose of this consultation is to identify weaknesses within Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and recommend change based on the data gathered and analyzed. The consultation began with an interview with the Chief Nursing Officer, a nursing leader. Followed by an analysis of the staffs handoff procedures and staffing turnover.
