C 361 Using Evidence-Based Practice to Address Nursing Burnout Abstract Nursing burnout is a critical worldwide issue. It is a costly problem affecting individuals, units, organizations, and patients safety. By utilizing strategies such as mindfulness and mindfulness-based stress reduction in healthcare, the nursing field can hopefully increase satisfaction with life and work, decrease stress levels in the workplace, and reduce burnout in the work environment. This would increase job satisfaction, employee engagement, reduce patient medical errors, and decrease nursing turnover.
