Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to identify the various levels and types of strategy used in a firm that operates internationally and solely domestically. This paper discusses corporations in food industry from which one has acquired another company and operates internationally and one that does not have a history of mergers and acquisitions and operates solely within the U.S. Furthermore, I will discuss the options available for strategic purposes for both companies, and how mergers and acquisitions can play a vital role for both the company that has merger/acquisition experience and the company that has no experience in that area.
