Employment Discrimination

Employment discrimination occurs to many groups of individuals and has been happening for many decades. In the U.S., employment discrimination occurs whenever an employer or its representatives adversely single out employees or applicants on the basis of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion and a variety of other reasons. Laws have been prepared to discourage discrimination from occurring. Equal opportunities laws aim to create a level playing field so that people are employed, paid, trained and promoted only because of their skills, abilities and how they do their job.
