Critical Analysis Short Paper. Consider a situation in which you or someone you know engaged in a written or oral contract containing specific performance requirements from the contractor providing business services. In the situation, the contractor breached one or more of the contract performance requirements.

Using the six essential elements of an enforceable contract, provide a thorough analysis of the situation. Discuss the options under the contact while considering the potential of substantial performance and inferior performance. Also, consider potential remedies for the non-breaching party.

Research Paper.

Focus of the Final Paper

The Final Research Paper should address a topic that is connected to the material and design of this course. This should require the essay to focus on a legal issue or situation that relates to a business environment or activity. Ideally, this topic would concern a matter that you have experienced or that you have knowledge; however, this not a requirement, only a suggestion. At a minimum this paper should include:

1. A detailed description of the topic.

2. An analytical discussion of the legal issues that are involved. This would entail examining the issue from different viewpoints.

3. A discussion of ethical consideration (Remember: What is legal may not be ethical).

4. A well defined and logically stated argument to support your position. This would include any suggestion or ideas for improvement in this area of law.

5. Five research sources, in addition to your text.

Product Liability. Read Case Question #34 in Chapter 31. Provide a discussion for each of your answers to the following questions. Respond to at least two other students postings.

a. Do the parents of the injured child have the right to sue Eddington instead of the manufacturer?

b. Can a retailer be held liable for defective products?

c. Is there anyone else who could be named in the suit?

International Law. Discuss Question #28 in Chapter 33: How do governments attempt to control foreign businesses operating within their borders? Research the issue rules and policies that are implemented against foreign businesses in the United States and in one other country.
