Budget Issues Paper In this paper I will be summarizing a recent article in my state, concerning budget issues with some of my counties police departments. I will also be summarizing what I would do if I was a criminal justice leader, handling this sort of budgetary issue. In the state of Oregon instead of budgeting for more facilities to handle an ever-growing number of inmates, the state pays counties to jail, supervise and treat an array of offenders in their own communities. In the recent two-year budget lawmakers made, many counties have seen a reduction in funds.
