ASSIGNMENT EXPECTATIONS:

The following items will be assessed in particular:

1) Define the term behavior modification and describe its roots in behavioral psychology. Identify a specific behavior that you would like to change.

2) List the six steps in a behavior modification program and apply them to a stress-inducing problem in your own life. Make sure that you have chosen a specific behavior and described measureable behavioral steps AND reinforcers that you can give to yourself when you achieve your goal.

3) Define the term effective coping. Differentiate between effective and ineffective coping strategies.
