Abstract

United States Department of Labor (DOL) was created in 1913 and is a regulatory agency that administers and enforces several federal laws to include Equal Pay Act of 1963, Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FLMA) (Ruddy, 2007, p. 643) and while these laws are being enforced it also promotes, protects workers' rights.
