Assessment of Social Determinants of Health Comprehensive Health Assessment Reflection Strategy While completing the comprehensive health assessment of patient DT, five questions that covered each of the social determinants of health (SDOH) were asked during the health history interview. Each question was open-ended and asked in a matter of fact, non-judgmental manner to encourage openness between myself and the patient. I also used nonverbal cues and utilized active listening to support a comfortable environment (Bickley, Szilagyi, & Hoffman, 2017).
