Week 5 Summary

Ethics are very important in our personal lives as well as our business lives. The decisions that are made on a business level not only affect the organization but also the stakeholders who are inadvertently involved. My heart went out to the employees of the Enron scandal how lost their life savings. Many of them will never see a dime of that money. Congress did a good deed by passing the SOX Act and holding corporations accountable for their unethical behavior. This act will not eliminate unethical behavior but it will help to deter it a little.
