Week 3 Summary

Week three was very interesting. I acquired knowledge on reasons a business incorporates, the advantages and disadvantages of doing so. I also, learned the difference in preferred stock and common stock. One major thing about the two that I was not aware of was that when owning preferred stock if dividends are paid out to stockholders then preferred stockholders are paid first. I also learned that it is more complicated to acquire preferred stock as opposed to common stock. This week has given me knowledge on how corporations and stock work overall and it has helped me to gain a better understanding of it all.
