Social Media and Mental Effect Facebook, Instagram, twitter and Snapchat are social media platforms that teenagers use daily. These forums are tools into teens thoughts, interest and ideas expressing admiration into their environment. Social media has an impact on mental health as teens use this forum to connect to society. For example, a young woman self-esteem can be driven by these social media feeds as likes, Thumbs Up and other forms of validation.
