After countless hours of researching Great Britain, Japan, Switzerland and Germany I decided to compare the US health system to that of Japans, as I am taking my children on holiday there in the upcoming year and I find it interesting to research areas prior to visiting them. The United States offers public healthcare insurance to qualified low income families. Japan, however, offers universal coverage and has a cost containment plan for healthcare by promoting healthy behaviors this decreasing hospital stay times and through coordinated care, home health care development and efficient use of prescribed medications.
